  • Sigandur is a village which is famous for Goddess Chowdeshwari temple.Located on the banks of Sharavati River, temple in the middle of the beautiful surrounded. The Goddess Chowdeshwari at Sigandur temple is very powerful. If prayed honestly one can get a positive result without fail. In many cases problems are solved here without going to the courts of justice. ¬†Two ways to reach, by road via the western side, or drive till Sharavathi reservoir, walk into the ferry, and use the public transport post that if coming via eastern side. One is completely on road vis Kolluru. The other route is faster through 10 min Ferry ride.Either you can put your vehicle in Ferry and ride or leave your vehicle in parking and travel in Ferry. After landing you will have to board buses to reach to the temple which is 10 kms from the shore.Really nice experience to go through the ferry. Neatly maintained temple and systematic planning makes the darshan peaceful. The queue within the temple premises is organized very well. They let people in batches, and pooja is offered to the goddess infront of every batch. Each batch is roughly about 30 folks. There is free anna daana service in the temple. The food is good and delicious, not too much of crowd either.
