  • Good religious place. Lot of people visiting the place makes it more commercial in nature. Entrance etc are systematically maintained.
  • Feeling blessed to be here. It's one of the ancient temples near to Tirupati. We can have the devine presence of Goddess Padmavati, wife of Sri Venkateswara Swamy here. It's one of the must visit temples nearer to Tirumala.
  • One must visit here before heading Tirumala. Devi Laxmi's blessing is a must for complete Balaji Darshan.

There are two small pools at entrance where we can take bath using soaps. There is one big pool inside. We are not allowed to use soaps in big pool. I suggest to take bath in big pool. The temple will be open at morning 4:30 am. You will be allowed from 4:30 -6:30 only if you buy 100rs ticket of 8 types of harathis.I suggest you to buy that tickets and enter the temple at 4:30 am. Take bath in big pool. Dont worry the water will be warm. You can see 8 types of harathis and you will be permitted to touch the god. Touching god is only available if you enter between 4:30- 6:30. The god is swayambhu(self made). You will be allowed to take a dress along with you for bathing. Men should wear towels or dhoti in order to touch the god. Shirts pants and banians(vest) are not allowed to touch the god

Where to stay in Tirupati

With millions of pilgrims visiting Tirupati each year, the city offers a large variety of places to stay, but can reach bursting point during festival times. An independent Hindu trust provides free accommodation for pilgrims, with a range of private accommodations also catering primarily to religious visitors. With a wide range of options to meet different budgetary needs, the majority of the city's hotels--mostly two- or three-star establishments--cluster around the center close to the shrine. A handful low-budget lodges, guesthouses, and hostels are scattered around the fringes of the city. Make sure to reserve your room well in advance if visiting during pilgrimage season.
