  • A nice quiet place . It's a small reservoir, but offers nice views. There is a well maintained park and children's area. Swimming pool is not open. Parking and toilet facilities available. There is a food court as well.
  • Dam, garden, kids play area, and a hanging bridge it's in Wadakkanchery Vazhani Dam. 6 kilometres from Otupara town, 15 Kilometres from Thrissur town.Calm and beautiful... it's a good place for relaxation. For friends.. family.. young childrens.. Have enough parking area. Also a small restaurant for traditional food like Biriyani.
  • I visited this beautiful place (21 Aug2016) after 54 years! The first clay dam in India, I guess. Hardly any visitors! Expected the dam to be full but was disappointed! Blame the rain gods! The ticket issuing lady was very helpful and enthusiastic and in fact took the trouble of returning my calls when I needed a clarification. That was unbelievable inasmuch it's a govt dept! The cafeteria was a disappointment! Notwithstanding, it's a very serene place.
  • Vazhani Dam one of the biggest Muddam in Kerala , I visited the dam in August 2016. Normally its the season of monsoon. but this year its lowest rainfall recorded. Not much water in reservoir . There is children's park and a small restaurant near Dam. Good for a visit
