Inspirock Rating:
3.2/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web
See the large array of animals living at Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, one of the longest-established zoos in the country. The 22 hectare (55 acre) site has changed markedly since it opened in 1857, with the focus shifting from recreation to conservation. Providing enclosures that mimic the animals' natural habitats, the zoo aims to protect endangered species by growing populations away from the wild. Take a stroll around the ample grounds to see indigenous species, such as tigers, macaques, and leopards, as well as many animals from Africa, including giraffes, hippos, and zebras.
