  • This place is a amazing place of the collection of Raja ravi varma paintings, there are other paintings of British era , and paintings of other countries, If you are around Trivandrum one must see the place, maintained by archaeological department.
  • A well maintained collection of paintings by Raja Ravi Varma and his uncle Raja Raja Varma. The only shortcoming is the lack of informative guides.
  • As this was my first art gallery ever visited, I was expecting a lot. And believe me, it didn't disappoint. Consisting of a lovely collection of some of Raja Ravi Varma's best paintings, this gallery is a mandatory place to go to in Trivandrum. Paintings by Nicholas Roerich just add to the gallery's beauty. The Japanese paintings, the paintings depicting the Dashavatar, life phases of Krishna, some really old murals, and paintings by contemporary Malayali artists, the place has so much to boast off. I was completely smitten by Roerich's work. Needless to say, Raja Ravi Varma is an epitome of great work, and seeing his paintings first hand was an experience that shall be savored forever. You can't take photos, of course and the tickets are a measly 20 rupees.
  • The World famous paintings of Raja Ravi Varma and Raja Varma
  • Beautiful. If you ever need to know for yourself the talent of the great artist Raja Ravi Varma, don't go anywhere else. This is the right place.
