Red sands and blue sea draw visitors to Shanghumukham Beach, where you can play sports or sit in a starfish-shaped cafe watching the sun cast its rays over the water. A sculpture of Jalakanyaka, a 35 m (115 ft) long mermaid reposing in a giant shell, attracts kids and adults alike. Very active in the evening, this popular spot can also get very crowded on weekends, so come early if you wish to take advantage of onsite parking.
