Where to stay in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum)

The main accommodations in Thiruvananthapuram proper lie to the north of the main train station. Ranging from boutiques set in colonial-era buildings to side street youth hostels with dormitory-style rooms, the choice throughout the city covers a wide range. However, plenty of visitors to Thiruvananthapuram choose to stay closer to the coast instead, arranging day trips to the city itself. Nearby beach resorts, such as Varkala and Kovalam, rank high on visitors' lists, with abundances of boutique hotels, beach huts, and resorts.

  • A well maintained and properly organized place. People of all age groups can properly enjoy the day spent here. They incorporate Street magic, shadow art, circus and many more. The staffs are amiable and all the staffs are given their deserved respect by the authority. They've turned absolutely successful in their venture, leaving no confusion among the visitors. The institution attempts to implant moral values in the visitors' minds, mainly in that of the young ones. Remember to reach there before 10 AM so that no shows will be missed.
  • Well kept place. Excellent use of the available land and great time management skills. Shows were arranged back to back with a short break in between. The staff were extremely good and the magicians/illusionists were great. They were easily able to take the audience in hand. Food served was also good and tasty. There are not much options but hey after all it is not a hotel.
  • This is a superb place to spend one full day. All people except kids below age 6-7 will enjoy this outing thoroughly. Its a theme based magic park, in which you will be admitted as small batches. Each batch will be guided by a staff to different places. There are different venues in which different kind of magic shows will be performed. You will find all sort of interesting magic through out the day, ranging from street magic to the the most frightening one. The staffs are also friendly. Try to reach the place before 10AM. Otherwise you may miss some of the shows.
  • Good Place in terms of quality of magic shows...Street magic performances are very good. Visit during summer is not so good as only one venue/theatre is air conditioned(that also was not working during our visit). Remaining venues only had couple of fans which were not enough for the hot and humid weather in Trivandrum. Quality of food served in Food court needs improvement also the facilities is food court is not enough for the crowd. We booked the tickets online, and were not aware of the show / performance timings, after spending half a day we came to know that this information is provided to those who buy tickets from there. Overall, excellent place for magic but facilities needs improvement as people spend entire day over there.
  • For those who love magic its a great place and a day well spent. Those who don't like magic very much you might feel bit bored during some shows. However there is less chance that one would regret the decision to visit this place. Because there is wide variety of shows arranged. And they have organized very well.
