  • Hi! We visited this temple in January end this year. It is a lovely temple and has Vishnu and Shiva facing each other in the main shrine.(very rare) You need to specially ask the priest for this view....  more »
  • It's a beautiful temple cut into the rocks. For easy darshan, there is a fee of Rs.50 per head which is very convenient. The deities carved in rocks will amaze you. Calm temple away from the city...  more »
  • An excellent temple to visit while going or coming from Madurai. Meenakshi temple has its own charm. But this temple of God Kartikeiye..is simply amazing. The aura. The build. All Divine. Carved...  more »

  • Very famous temple with main dieties carved out of mountain. Apart from a neatly maintained heritage temple, the hillock offers amazing view when climbed up. If you are luck enough you can spot peacocks during your climb. Its one of the testament to the INDIAN indigenous architectural abilities.
  • The temple is an age old temple. I have no authority to criticize the temple. However I can point out some of the hardships faced by devotees and pilgrims at the shrine. There is no parking close to the temple. The street in front of the temple is narrow and a one way too. People don't follow the rules. There are no restrooms near by. Handicapped assistance can be afforded. I know it's a rock cave temple. But however the air conditioning and ventilation could alleviate the sufferings during hotter climates. Be careful while visiting the temple tank as it's rocky steps are slippery. The rock cut steps are too high for elderly. A smile at the old man who swishes the peacock feathered fan as you come out of the suffocated sweaty inner sanctum is a bliss. It gives you a breath of cool breeze. I haven't been to the temple after I lost faith. All my experiences were from before. So if any of the above mentioned issues have been already addressed and rectified then my sincere apologies.
  • This is famous temple in the temple city Madurai. Thirupparamkundram is one of the six army bases (அறுபடை வீடு) of lord murugan. Temple is very old and historical place. This is very big temple. Cleanliness has been improved a lot compared to olden days. So many religious believes and worship are handing over every year.
  • Tirupparamkunram Murugan temple is a divine place which is one of the 6 abodes of lord Murugan. The ambience of the temple is awesome and there where not much crowd during normal days. The roads to the temple were little narrow and crowded. No parking facility available for four wheeler as we end up parking on the road side. No proper toilet facility and no good hotels near temple.
  • Historic and awesome. The temple is a big one and is a really peaceful and devotional place inside. Around the temple it is very dirty and can be fixed but inside is fine. Not very crowded on usual days. Festive days are exceptionally crowded and its not so nice. Do visit but on a normal day
