  • At the bottom is the only attraction of Tranquebar whereby one cannot visit it. I will say though that it's nothing special, besides having just been ripitturato lost that veneer of ancient typical of period buildings. The Museum, a little confused, would need the hand of a museografo. Interesting from the perspective of Ethnography and the Esplanade where, on feast days, the country's entire population converges (a show of colors).

  • This is the perfect setting for a historical novel or a romance. The fort, almost perfectly maintained stands by the sea, a sentinel through the centuries. The museum inside is a must visit, it has la...  more »

  • Best place to enjoy with family. Public facilities are coming up. Museum also having public facilities. Such a large open ground with peripheral wall one can sit for a while and enjoy the snacks available there. When you stand in the beach you can enjoy the sound of music coming from the Waves of the sea. You can sit in front of the fort to enjoy the breeze. You can also move inside the fort and museum or in the lawns inside. Go early to move around the township to enjoy the building marvels too.
  • Excellent place! Indian government should have taken more steps to protect the fort and the places history ... The site was greatly damaged in 2004 tsunami.
  • Very good place. Pollution free, ozone rich beach. Not only fort, also one can visit places like half ruined old masilamani temple on the sea shore. 300 years old church. Governors bungalow. Museum. We can experience Danish culture in tharangambadi. Next to tharangambadi, near about 7 km north we have thirukadaiyur abirami Amman temple and about 10 km we have French Culutured city karaikal. Come and enjoy😊😊😊😊
  • Good tourist place for foreigners. Because they need ozone air in tranquebar.
  • Nice place to visit if one is travelling by that side. Only a few artefacts to see in the fort as compared to Tanjore or Madurai, but it is a good historical place. It is best visited in the evening so that we can spend some time in the beach too.
