Paddle a boat and enjoy a city skyline at Upvan Lake, a scenic reservoir in Thane partially surrounded by greenery. A blue lotus-statue of Lord Ganesha is located in the middle of the lake and part of its shoreline is LED-lit at night, providing a romantic sight. Made in 1880, this calm body of water was used as a city’s drinking supply and has been a popular picnicking and recreational area for local families ever since. Surrounded by Yeoor Hills, this is one of the largest lakes in the area and is known as a spot for lovers.
