Admire an impressive collection of old timers at Heritage Transport Museum, a time machine building taking you through a history of transportation in India’s rich industrial heritage. All sorts of vehicles are on top notch dramatic display here. A bright yellow colored high wing airplane hovers above 55 classic vintage cars, bicycles and over 20 bull-, ox- and horse drawn carts. This spacious museum also houses ten old buses and trucks and various palanquins joined by a collection of wheels from prehistoric to modern times. An in-depth presentation outlines the development of vehicles in India, featuring many models of domestic brands such as the classic Hindustan Ambassador and Tata racing cars. This has cars, trucks, carts, bikes, a railway coach , all part of a private collection converted into a transport museum on the outskirts of Gurgaon! Good starter collection of cars, trucks, jeeps, bikes and the transport history. Loved the Chevrolet, Ford, benz, high power (4000cc+) vintage heavy all metal shiny cars! Also was great to see old Fiat, ambassadors, and a three wheel dolphin car! Neat and clean, well organized into multiple sections with accessibility available at all levels. Has a canteen with snacks, basic food menu - burgers, noodles, canned juices etc. Railways and Air transport can definitely do with more additions. Didn't like the autorikshaw and car art section on top floor, needs re thinking. Bought a couple of cars and a tie from the museum store , but the store could do with lot more additions reflecting the collection! Many of small store items were overpriced and not high quality. Will revisit, would love to show my Dad the Fiat he drove for so many years!
A museum with a good collection of post war American and British cars in India. The location is not accessible easily without a car. The entry fee could've been lower. The museum traces air travel, boats and motorcycles in India also. Hope to see the museum increase its collection in the future with possibly princely state Rolls Royces and probably feature the transition of India's auto industry from then and now. Till then, It is a good visit nevertheless with potential to be much better!
Very unique museum in Haryana This museum has a collection of transport old and new both Also it show how's India decorate their trucks U will see many types of car trucks etc Also all types of tyers of car Best place to visit
Awesome place...far beyond my expectations! Very impressive and well maintained cars, aircrafts, trains and boats across three levels in an air conditioned museum. Easily accessible, off NH 8 on way to Jaipur (turn left at bilaspur chowk, just before old rajasthan border toll gate, towards tauru...museum is on left side about 7-8 kms down), about 45 mins drive from gurgaon. The place is perfect to visit on a weekend with your kids, as I did.
It's like heaven of cars. Awesome place to visit for vintage cars lovers. go with ur friends as well as family and get in touch of vintage world.
