  • At the end of the curved Bouleward road as it turns towards Sonmarg high way and University end ;lies this mediaeval gem of horticulture and water play. The springs must be natural from towering Zabarwaan Mountains behind. What civil masters of the Mughals did or those even before them did is to harnes the power of the water flow to emerge as Fountains thru decorated stone ends .Must see sights as magnificent pavilions are built at each subsequent higher levels of granite or carved stone and wood.Tall Chinartrees some 320 years old some fallen lord over this man made garden.
  • I have been here two or three times and they do not charge for extras for foreigners. Why? It may do that now. This is beautiful place to visit and look around with girl friend and family but akela(kundiao soltero hitori 혼자) tourist are not that much welcome.
  • Place is good but same as other gardens. It has stream water but one can't drink it. Besides it's over crowded.
  • In Srinagar there are many Shahi gardens. I feel Shalimar garden is the best among those. You can feel only greenery and colors of millions flowers. I went there in a rainy day. That gave a little trouble but I got some extra beauty of enjoy in rain.
  • While our visit was ended early by rains, Shalimar is a beautiful place and you will like it for sure if u visit it before Nishat Bagh.
