Fort Aguada, Goa

Ruin · Historic Site
A well-preserved structure constructed in 1612, Fort Aguada sits on the mouth of River Mandovi, placed there to fend of the Dutch and the Marathas. Examine how the entire strategic construction is divided into two sections, with the upper part used as a water station and fort, and the lower as a berth for ships. The lighthouse was used to guide ships safely to their docks, until it was abandoned in 1976. Deep inside, discover the escape passage that enabled retreat during war and other emergencies. • The place has that perfect view. On one side you will get the plush green scenery and on the other end you will have the ever cozy sea. There are a lot of exploration points so try to take out more time while visiting the place. Get on board with your friends and move around the place to enjoy.
  • Historical monument. Every citizen wants to visit this place.
  • Place has historical values but there's not much to see.
  • Fantastic for 3 things 1. History 2. Breath taking views 3. Excellent open space rating it 1 short of 5 because its not well maintained. Found people smoking inside the premises, throwing stuff all over and making it not a good place for family hangout. if you ignore these 2 things, you'll enjoy
  • It was nice to be at Aguada. The scenery there is awesome. The beach view, the sun view is just amazing. Being there with your friends is truly a life time experience 😌. The ticket cost 25 rupees for Indians and 600-700 for foreign citizens. Almost 700-800 meters from Aguada there is Sinquerium beach. Overall it was fun to be there 😁
