  • The best place I've ever visited. I'm sort of an avid Traveller and can boast of having visited quite a many tourist places. But this holiday at Sandakphu will remain as my fondest memory (untill obviously I visit there again XD). The journey to Sandakphu was very tedious and dangerous. Wouldn't recommend to people thinking of a peaceful holiday. I recommend taking warm clothes as the night temperatures drop down extremely low and the hotel always don't provide warm blankets. Make sure you've enough food and take a day or 2 rest at Sandakphu because accommodating to the high altitude climate over there will take time and you may not be ready for the long journey back home soon. Happy Visiting.
  • Yesterday I visited Sadakphu and Phalut. It was a lifetime experience for me. I went there only to realize how the people of those places are living. I talked to them and felt the spirit of India-"Unity in diversity"
  • Great place to view sun rise and sun set and hikinh
  • Very good place to see beautiful Kanchenjunga peak with Mt. Everest, Trekkers hut, Temple , View point such important part of this place. It is the highest peak of West Bengal. In the month of May & April travellers could see various types of rhododendron. In the month of January and February to Mid March you will get snow. All Trekkers hut can be booked at Salt lake, Kolkata at Gorkha hill council. My suggest is that those who want to different trek or adventure choose Versay to Ribdhi to Gorkey to Samenden to Srikhola to Sandakaphu to Phalut to Uttare. Srikhola to Sandakphu little bit difficult and stenorous.I made expedition in this region two times. You have hired a guide at Hilley. My guide name towards Versay to Sandakphu is Dawa Tamang. Towards Manebhanjone to Sandakphu my guide name is Sunil Chettery. Both guide are young , friendly and co operative.
