  • There are certain places in Shimla which is less explored. Indian Institute of Advanced study is one of the place very less people no of and it also known as summer home for British rule. At that time it was called Viceroy lodge. This place also have historic importance in independent India as the papers of independent India signed at this place between British rulers and leaders of India.
  • Oh yeah, a must visit place. Awesome is the weather so is the garden. It has a huge garden all around. Plus it is one of the most historical places in Shimla and one of the important points in Indian history as well. Here lies the place where the decision for Indian Pak was taken although final was taken in Delhi. The same table at which our leaders took decisions and other artifacts are still there well maintained. You'll get to see a lot of old photos at time of 1947 and before, and so this makes this place a great. Cafeteria as a limited option, however whatever they make, it's yummy.
  • Indian Institute of Advanced Studies also known as Viceregal Lodge, is a beautiful building full of architectural beauty. One of the oldest beautiful building in Shimla. The building was completed around 1884 and took 4 years to complete. Many historic decisions have been taken in the building during the Indian independence movement. The decision to carve out Pakistan from India was also taken here in 1947. Amazing place to visit for serenity, robust British architecture, and peace.
  • Great infrastructure and good interior Paneling on walls and roof. so much antique items and rare photographs collection. its value of worth to visit here. sometimes its take time to get your turn. Only 60 people they allow inside after that another 60. so manage your time and have food. only snacks and tea or coffee available there
  • Awesome place Very big place kids can enjoy. Only 10rs entry fee. Restaurant is small but good. Better to go Nov to Feb month. It's like havean.awesome
