One of the highest points in Meghalaya state at 1,965 m (6,446 ft) altitude, Shillong View Point offers sweeping 360-degree views of the capital city. Lush greenery and the serene environment make this spot popular with tourists. Use one of the telescopes on site to catch a spectacular view of the waterfalls gushing out of a mountain. You'll need permission from the Air Force Station to access the peak, which lies along an Indian Air Force road; this might take time, but free parking is available. Bring some snacks along.   • Very pleasant view from the watch tower, only if the weather is clear. Nearby places are also very beautiful. Must stop.
  • you can see entire city from here, close to Shillong and good for 3-4 hours trip. plenty of shops around for snacks/tea. a must visit place in Shillong.
  • About half an hour from Shillong, Shillong view point s located inside an Army Facility. One of the members should have an Govt. ID Card. Paid toilets are available. There is an observation point. Food stalls are available. You can dress up as locals and take photos.
  • whole Shillong City View, You feel above the sky, looks like clouds are coming out from down.
  • You see miniature like buildings of whole Shillong and there is the facility of binoculars that aid you to see those little little buildings and able to recognize it.
