3.9/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web
Venture into your next adventure and explore your speleological side at Mawjymbuin Cave. Dare to enter the 209 m (685 ft) high dark cave consisting of calcareous sandstone and enjoy the view of the natural stalagmites inside which took thousands of years to make through the dripping of mineral liquids. Admire the nature’s power of creation by seeing the stalagmite shaped as a Shivalinga which makes the cave a sacred place for Hindu people. Despite the cave’s large size, some small hallways can cause claustrophobic feelings. To visit Mawjymbuin Cave and other attractions in Shillong, use our Shillong tour planner.
