  • Excellent views of valleys... Especially in cloudy and winter days... Well designed entrance... Solid structure. Local guides exaggerate stories while explaining spots and its history... Read facts of the fort online beforehand. Take care of senior members in rainy season over the steps... Good place
  • Nice fort decently maintained. It was raining cats and dogs when we visited and was covered in mist so couldn't have good visibility. Beware of the touts who claim as guides. They would charge you exorbitantly for selling their story.
  • Its about 20 km from Mahabaleshwar. Unbelievable to imagine the effort and determination offered to build this fort during those days. The fort is located at a height and from the parking one need to climb steep steps to visit first the lower part of the fort housing Bhavani temple and then the upper part housing Shiva temple and also a beautiful bronze statue of the great Maratha king Shivaji amidst a well maintained garden. As in case of most other forts in Maharashtra though the fort is not being preserved well, its worth visiting with you family and friends.
  • Loved the place. Go there in month of july and you will love it. Clouds will be surrounding you and there will a lot of beautiful views
  • Nice place to visit during the start of monsoon. Lush greenery, cool atmosphere and quite calm if you come here early.
