Vashishta Gufa, Rishikesh
Categories: Caves, Nature & Parks
Find your peace in a sacred ancient cave at Vashishta Gufa, on the banks of the Ganges in the midst of a ficus tree grove. Believed to have housed a medidating Lord Brahma’s manasputra, sage Vashishta, the place was dubbed as the yoga capital of the world. Maintained by the late guru Swami Purshottamananda since 1930, the cave houses a Shiva linga considered as sacred. You can reach the cave after climbing some 200 steps. A visit to Vashishta Gufa represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Rishikesh vacation planner to plot your vacation.

удивительное место медицинского назначения. Многие просто медитируют. Рядом протекает река, воздух наполнен влагой. Сама пещера не вдохновила.amazing place for medical purposes. Many simply meditate. The river flows nearby, the air is filled with moisture. The cave itself is not inspired.show original
It is a nice sightseeing spot. Went here with friends on our recent trip to Rishikesh. Next to ganga ji it is a relaxing spiritual spot.
