Where to stay in Rishikesh

In the downtown area, river houses remain the most popular accommodations, with a few guesthouses and hostels located farther back from the sacred waters of the Ganges. Most visitors choose to stay upriver, in areas filled with pleasant ashrams, hostels, and hotels perched near the water in clusters. Arrange your accommodations in advance to ensure rooms that suit your style, budget, and reasons for being in this spiritual capital.
