Ram Jhula, Rishikesh
Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Walk across Ram Jhula, a 230 m (750 ft) long iron suspension bridge spanning the Ganges River. This famous landmark of Rishikesh connects Shivananda Ashram and Swargashram and offers visitors panoramic views of the city. You can also see multiple temples from here, as well as markets on both ends of the bridge. The early afternoon gets extremely busy with tourists, so visit during the morning or evening if you prefer a more relaxed stroll. One can get a shared auto from haridwar and get down at laxman jhula. Cross the jhula, walk 2 km and cross the ram jhula again. Jhula is made in such a way that the whole weight is on the upperside. T... read more »
hey,if you have the option and the opportunity to sleep there,do that, the vibration there is very different from laxman jhula. much more authentic
In the midst of Himalayas, on the holy river Ganges is this bridge in the name of Lord Ram. It's best to walk down this bridge instead of using any vehicle. View from the bridge is majestic.
Thrilling experience to cross over this suspension bridge connecting Muni ki reti car parking on Rishikesh side to Parmarth Niketan, Swargashram trust and Choti Wala on the other side of Ganga, Before 1986 when bridge was not constructed Motor Boat was the only means to cross over ...you still have that option , Beware of monkeys who are hanging on bridge wires looking for an opportunity to snatch food.
Should visit, good environment fresh feel and clean river water like minirel Ro water straight from the himalayas
Great view, awesome places to shop nearby and eating options. The only thing I didn't like was bikes and scooters being driven on the bridge which hampered the peace and ease of people walking.

Mixed experience. Good for spectacular views of MAA GANGA and many ASHRAMS there, cold breeze n awesome clean water of river steals it all... But, Bad for the fact that people drive their vehicles through. Dude it's already hanging and shaking 😜... Overall ab awesome place and undoubtedly a must visit.
Beautiful place. I stayed near this jhoola at see face lodge and the cost was ₹200 only per day and easy to connected with highway also.
