  • Sarasgad trek was one of my best treks so far. Its located in Pali which is nearly 70kms away from Panvel. There are regular ST buses from Panvel bus stand but they take nearly 3 hours to reach Pali. ...  more »
  • The place is not very far off from Mumbai and is a good activity for trekkers. You must carry enough of water and food and go in a group to enjoy the place.

  • One of best fort in Raigad district, Most historical structures on the fort are still in ok state. There are 2 levels on the fort, on first level there are many caves, water tanks, double fortification walls & 2 entrance gates, on 2nd step there is Kedareshwar Temple & Dargah., From the top you can see Sudhagad & Tailabaila forts. Difficulty level: Easy From pali ashtavinayak mandir gate attached road where all the snacks & colddrinks stalls are there go towords south after half kilometers you will see the well on the right take left road from there ask some locals for help. Afterwards there is simple way to fort just go towards fort direction. There are steps of fort in the gap of mountain (घळई). There is no drinkable water on fort also no food.
  • Oh I have been here so many times. Best on monsoon, best for night trekking.
  • Sarasgad is small fort located at Pali. In History, this fort was used as watchtower. Fort difficulty level is easy but it becomes medium difficulty in monsoon due to highly slippery route. you can reach at base village Pali from Pune or Mumbai by Private vehicle or by Govt. bus. To start climb/Trek, take route behind temple. Before reach at the fort, you need to climb 3 small hills and then 100 stone to reach at Dindi entrance gate. Route on hill is easy but it is highly slippery in monsoon. Take proper care while climbing steps and Bale kllla. Steps / Stone are slippery. Once you reach on Fort, there are 2 small route to reach at the base of Bale killa. If you are facing to Bale killa then right side route is easy and many ruined fortification whereas left side route is bit difficult to climb but its adventures. You can see many water trench, ruined stay location, Ammunition storage, Grain storage room etc. On Bale killa, you can view Kedareshwar temple and lake. From Fort, you can enjoy breathtaking view of nature and Pali village. There is no food and water source available on fort so better to carry your own food. One of the best fort to visit in post monsoon
