  • Sarasgad trek was one of my best treks so far. Its located in Pali which is nearly 70kms away from Panvel. There are regular ST buses from Panvel bus stand but they take nearly 3 hours to reach Pali. ...  more »
  • The place is not very far off from Mumbai and is a good activity for trekkers. You must carry enough of water and food and go in a group to enjoy the place.  more »

  • Beautiful place for trekking. If you are a beginner, better not to go during rainy season. Stones will be slippery. Wear shoes. In summer it would be an easy trek. Anybody can trek. While getting down you will find two paths.. take the one that looks easy.
  • Easy grade monsoon trek. Beautiful views from the top. Just at one point one needs to go up the stairs and it is little risky over there otherwise it is a good trek for beginners.
  • Sarasgad twin of sudhagad fort. It can be identified by it's Pinnacles and thus was mainly used as a watch place to check the surrounding region. The construction of the fort is not in good condition but the huge rock steps are something to watch for. There are two routes from pali. On the top is the Shiva temple providing an fabulous panoramic view of all the mountain ranges surrounding this area. Sudhagad and TailBaila can be easily viewed from the top of the fort. Fort height is 490 meters from sea level. There are many caves which were used for soldiers and other purposes coz the fort has very little space available in the top. there are around 10 water tanks carved in rocks. They provide water throughout the year.
  • Perfect trek for beginners , difficulty level is easy, Best time to visit after monsoon
  • Best to visit after monsoon. Great view from the top of fort .
