Marvel at an impressive metal statue in a white marble shrine surrounded by turquoise pools at Katraj Jain Temple, a famous Jain pilgrimage site on a hillock on Satara-Pune highway. This very clean and large temple features a 3.6 m (12 ft) tall gilt statue of Lord Mahavira made of panchadhatu, a traditional five-metal alloy of sacred significance, which weighs around five tons. Enjoy exquisitely carved pillars of long corridors of this shiny palace-like complex surrounded by greenery. This Jain temple is located on Katraj road in Pune. A regular Jain community temple which is opened to all community. Decent architecture and offer a nice view.
Located at one of the most busiest junctions of the city .. but once u enter this place its silence and serenity ... made out of white marble , it's quite a beautiful view from here. !!

Nice temple to visit near by katraj area in Pune. I visited with my family.
One of the biggest Jain temples in Pune & visited by a number of tourists. Has a great view from top of the hill. Very well maintained & beautiful. A must visit when in Pune.
Yes, I am rating and reviewing another Temple. I've written a few lines about a few other temples as well. It does feel a bit weird to rate a temple, coz I believe all places worship offer one primary thing: peace of mind. So, for those who come here with a religious perspective, this place is just about perfect. Every temple dome and every place of worship here is supremely serene. For those who want to visit this place for its architectural beauty, there are a lot of amazing structures to admire. The main temple campus, constructed on a hill, with a sprawling campus, Offering multiple accommodation options to devotees. And the community kitchen offers food to the devotees. The main temple structures, carved with mythological stories, with extreme detailed and minute carvings. Painted mostly in gold, this structure looks breathtaking, especially during the sunset, as the sunlight creates wonderful effect. For those who just want to get out of the busy hustle of the city, this place is right at the edge of the city, and as it is located on a hill top , it offers a birds-eye-view of the entire city. And an amazing view of the setting sun( probably the sunrise view from here would be equally amazing, but being a late riser i have never made it here for the sunrise)
A mist place to visit for jains. Also visit iskcon temple which is 4 km away.
Temple is on hill, excellent Jain food. Beautiful city view !!!
