  • Serenity at its best, great calmness. A must visit for all. Well maintained ashram. A spiritual destination of the world.
  • A must visit place for anyone visiting Pondicherry. It is interesting to read and learn more about Sri Aurobindo's life and initial conceptualization of Auroville. A peaceful retreat from the hustle a...  more »

  • Calm, serene, tranquil!! You feel like you have been transferred to another peaceful and quiet location as soon as you enter the ashram doors. The beauty and decor is something which leaves you wanting to stay their for another hour. Sadly they don't allow mobile phones inside hence capturing it is a problem. People sit near the final resting place and meditate for hours and the place designed so helps you do that. A must visit if you are in Pondy.
  • Calm, serene, tranquil place to visit. Be silent, good place for meditation. Enjoy the flowers that are being maintained here. If you are an avid reader; there are books available in the internal shop.
  • This is my parents experience in Ashram happened today:07/14 Here is a short note from my Dad, its shocking!!! "Today I stayed one of ashram guesthouse, they issued a pass to do collective meditation in ashram play ground. Wife and my self went to the playground at the entrance one man insisted me to switch off the phone. I said it was switched off already but he was not convinced. I showed him the phone it not convinced I said you check the phone. He retorted and said it is not my business. Then I don't know how to convince him and returned to room. I thought only Bengalis and Gujarati people are entitled to do prayer and meditation.not for Tamil people.or we should wear pyjama and ghurtha to enter ashram.very regrettable. I don't know how to explain his restless mind now and you can see that from his above writing, they are very regular to the Ashram for the past 8 yrs. Everyone knows, in order to get peaceful mind and relief they are visiting. Please show some respect and kindness, because you are managing an "Ashram".

  • Wonderful serene spiritual place but too bad it's run by people who have no interest but in their own wellbeing. They should be ashamed!
