  • Used be a jail for housing freedom fighters before 1960. Recently Goa government has taken initiative in reconstructing the monument and open it to the public. It's beautifully located and having lot of details about the freedom fighters who worked hard in order to get freedom from Portuguese.. On tourist front it is nicely located and offers you a scenic beauty of the ocean... There is a picture gallery where in details of the persons who had contributed to the liberation movement is displayed. you can enjoy ..worth the trip..
  • Great place to visit. Very calm atmosphere & amazing view. Very beautiful place to click photos. Very few people know about it. As take ₹50 as entry fee you will found less crowded. Parking are available at the fort.
  • Serene place to visit. Very well maintained with clean washroom. Best thing is that the restricted areas are few here and you can roam around almost everywhere here. Once you climb up there are rooms with ceiling fans, table and stools where you can relax. Ticket is Rs.50 per Adult and they sell beverages at the ticketing counter so that adds to the overall convinience. There is ample parking for two wheeler and four wheelers and the fort is not too crowded. The roads leading to the fort are picturesque and adds to overall appeal.
  • For History, Mario and Photo Ops Historical fort, modified, served as jail for freedom fighters, now restored. Check out Mario Miranda's amazing sketches in B&W and colour. (Also available for sales in the souvenir shop) Don't forget to see the emblem at entrance, holes for pouring hot oil on intruders, doors for jailing freedom fighters. Nice view from the fort Check out manufacturing dates on the canons (Alas, they used 2 digits for the year!!!) Details of architecture, date wise modifications etc displayed for understanding and appreciation by visitors. Open parking at the base
