Fragments also are interesting, but I recommend that you go with the description. The tower and the church were built in 1602 by the Augustinian friars who arrived in Goa in 1587. The building later fell into neglect resulting in the collapse of the vault in 1842. Built of laterite... read more »
An old church that fell, only one tower of which is visible. Maintained by asi and is in the unesco world Heritage series list. Some vandalism present. Could have increased security. Do visit the our Lady of rosary minted by Portuguese government opposite to this ruins. Also visit the museum of Christian art present near by.
Once upon a time a church now jus a heritage spot where one can click great pics.! This church was ordered to be demolished during freedom struggle.! Jus walking distance from the bascillica of bom jesus church one can go and click great pictures herein.
I'd say it's the best among the churches of old Goa. Even though only ruins are present it will definitely take you back in time... Please time your visit to avoid sunny times..
