  • The Sé Cathedral of Santa Catarina Chapel is half hidden in the old cemetery. It's not the main attraction, but the history of the place. Urgently needs reforms.

  • Built of laterite blocks the chapel has one altar and is fairly plain from inside. An inscription inside the chapel reads-“Here in this place was the doorway through which governor Afonso de Albuquerq...  more »
  • Lovely serene atmosphere in the shadow of the archeological museum and the summer monsoon rains a stones throw from downtown Panjim and well worth the drive.

  • This Chapel, built in the 16th Century, is the first Christian structure in Goa and is frequently ignored by the usual tourist crowd. Built in the early 1500s to commemorate the reconquering of Goa from Adil Shah by Albuquerque. And later rebuilt in mid 1500s with laterite stone blocks. This Chapel lacks the granduosity of other Old Goan churches and there's nothing much to see around, except for altar and the stone inscription in Portuguese.
  • Cool, calm & serene Chapel, The place seems to be secluded , the number of tourists visiting the place is very less although being a very significant place.
  • Very calm, quite and beautiful chapel. Very few tourist care to visit this place.
  • Calm and peaceful
  • It's empty but it's still beautiful
