  • Nice Zoo and park. Not a huge variety of animals but yes common jungle animals and birds are here. Can be maintained much better. They have tried to keep up but still a very long way to go. The availability of vehicle ride (electric operated buggies ride) throughout the park is a big thumbs up. Hoping the administration pays better attention & the zoo improves further. The food at the food shop near Lion safari is worse than pathetic. Better carry your own food items. A good day out spent with family and kids. Only in cool weather.
  • The place is nice. You need to buy tickets first and then on entrenched you will see two paths left and right. You can choose any path and it will lead you back at the enterence from the other oath. The place is really nice and maintainance is decent. There are various animals to see plus a lion safari which was disappointing to be honest. Other than that experience was nice. Views are nice and it's a great place specially for children. There are shops too from where u can grab a bite. You can even adopt an animal at Chhatbir Zoo. The best time visit will be in March, August and September. All in all a great place for a family getaway.
  • t is very nice place iam very very enjoy in chatbeer zooo
  • Old rating 4 stars: Good but nowadays seems over crowded and the tigers over there are lazy and are seldom noticed making a move. New rating 5 stars (update on July 3' 2016): This time the experience was simply awesome. The tigers and lions were active and had a great fun. Would recommend the time after 15:00 hrs and spare 3-3.5 hours for the whole thing, last entry permissible only before 17:00 hrs. Lion Safari was nothing much but still worth the extra 50 bucks per person.
  • ChattBir Zoo is a zoological park situated close to Zirakpur, Punjab, India and is inhabited by a large variety of birds, mammals and reptiles. The entire zoo visit has been an interesting journey but the Lion safari is the most exciting part of the same. It is undoubtedly the most developed & well managed zoological park in the area. The Royal Bengal tiger is its most precious possession. Lion Safari is available at a very nominal charge of ₹ 50 per person. You can also find beautiful bird species I like Peacock especially. The zoo remains open throughout the week from 9 AM – 5 PM except Mondays. There is a small lake where hundreds of migratory birds visit every winter. The ChattBir is home to these foreign guests between October and March every year. There is a beautiful picture exhibiting ecological harmony contrasting with amazing surroundings. The animals remain in natural habitat as far as behavioral and physical needs are concerned. It has a small refreshment area outside which is consist of Food court – just beside train station: Multi cuisine. Rhino canteen –near Rhino enclosure: snacks, cool drinks, tea & coffee. Vijaya Dairy Parlor –Giraffe enclosure: Dairy products & Maharaja Canteen – Parrot World: Food & Bakery item. The ticket prices are ₹ 20 for children aged 3 to 12 years & ₹ 50 for visitors above 12 years. Entry is free for children below 3 Yrs., handicapped & reporters. Lion Safari Bus ride is optional at a price of ₹ 50 per head. You can choose to visit zoo in a Battery Operated Ferry Vehicle (Alike Golf Cart) at a price of ₹ 50 per person. Wheel Chairs facility is available at no cost for physically challenged people.
