Head to the Japanese section of the adjacent garden to admire the landscaping, and then look for the statue of Yakshi (a protagonist from a novel), carved from a single large rock. Very good place for evening refreshment. The crowd to the park is huge and can be annoying sometimes!

Good place to spend good time over a week end... the park is awesome and there is an aquarium to visit... There is a safari available which takes you to the top of Dam and far beyond... this would be very awesome you would a complete view about the dam and water catchment areas.... so nice....
Very nice place to visit during monsoon. Climb up the stairs to see the amazing view of water across the dam. The place is not kept very clean though. Lots of plastic bottles and bags were lying around.
Nice garden for a walk. Ropeway gives a Hawk's eye view of entire garden. Drive to Kava along the banks of the reservoir.

Its a good leisure place. Maintained beautifully. Ropeway helps to get a good view of overall place. At night, lightings are good but not everywhere. Parking facility is good.
Once the pride of kerala, I remember visiting this place as a kid and was fascinated by its beauty. Sadly all beauty have been lost due to negligence. Plastic bottles and other waste accumulated at every corner. All one could see now are the remains of a glorious past.
