  • What a park yar....satpura ki pahadiya all are mhan...
  • This park is neither well preserved nor well taken care of. It's a local mass tourism site and major attractions are covered with garbage. Animals here needs more attention than tourists! Dissapointed!
  • After visiting Pachmari we reached Madhai forest rest house ,Satpura National Park,on 13 April 2015. We took the evening drive & I was immediately impressed by the lovely mixed deciduous forests-the best in M.P. and superior to Kanha & Bandhavgarh. Besides a great number of Gaurs we saw Sambhar ,Chital and other deer species. The highlight was a large male leopard at a kill which we saw from about 25 yards and for a very long time. They are generally very shy & only come out after dark. We stayed another day at the rest house & took another drive. Though there a fair number of tigers the sighting is not very good & that is the reason this park is not visited much. This makes it an ideal get away for nature lovers far from the madding crowd( allow me to quote Hardy). The forest rest house is an ideal place to stay with basic amenities & simple food. I strongly recommend this Park.
