Tucked away in a deep ravine, Jata Shankar is a popular pilgrimage spot dedicated to Shiva. The cave features a group of stalagmites worshiped by Hindu believers as natural lingams. Where to stay in Pachmarhi

A popular hill station and resort town, Pachmarhi has a range of accommodations to suit the diverse tastes and budgets of its many visitors. The Patel Road area has a high concentration of standard hotels and larger resorts, as well as some hostels and guesthouses close to the main amenities. Elsewhere, look along the regional road that crosses the hill station. As it shoots off into secluded hamlets, you'll see a number of upmarket hotels, rental villas, and the odd budget-friendly guesthouse.
