  • Located in a small and calm Polly-ghost, as it is called, the Polly of ortsas. The fortress in very good condition. It was the seat of the Mpoyntela dynasty during the Indian middle ages. The big surprise in this Palace are the frescoes at interiors, walls and ceiling, held up very well and deserve our attention. The view of the area from the top is amazing.

  • Magnificent Palace whose lack of restoration makes it very impressive. Famous for paintings that can be seen, has an imposing structure. Is not to be missed.

  • Amazing it is, it's too beautiful. I really love this place, amazing palace,
  • Beautiful place. You actually experience the royality our Kings used to live in.
  • Construction of Raja Mahal was started by King Rudrapratap (1501-1531). The main part of the palace was built during the rule of his elder son, King Bharati Chandra (1531-1554). The remainder was built by Raja Madhukar Shah (1554-1522). This five-storey palace is square in shape and is composed of two sections. In addition to the residential rooms, Deevan-e-aam and deevan-e khas are worth seeing. Beautiful paintings have been created in the terrace in one place.
  • Raja Mahal is not as spectacularly built as the Jahangir Mahal though it is one of the oldest buildings in Orchha. Its construction had started in early 16th Century by King Rudra Pratap Singh. It was completed by his successors during the 16th Century. The palace has five stories and the best thing about the palace is beautiful murals on the roofs and walls. Some of them are in good condition while many of them were damaged. ASI can do better to preserve these paintings and maintain this palace.
  • Very nice fort. Must visit!!
