Part of the monumental Orchha Complex, Raja Mahal is one of four monuments that is part of this palace. Constructed during the 16th century, it’s English name is the ‘King’s Palace’ where it was where the kings and queens would reside. Explore the interiors to get a taste of history and culture as it is decorated with murals depicted Lord Vishnu and ornate wall carvings situated throughout the temple which is a contrast to the simplified architecture on the outside. The temple layout and placement of windows was designed in a way to allow "sunlight and shadow create areas of different moods and temperatures throughout the day".   • We spent an hour or so at this place. A must see temple in Orchha. The river nearby gives great opportunity for photographs. 
  • Stunning frescoes on the walls and ceiling good architecture worth a visit if you are in the area. There is on going renovation works reach the top for panoramic views of the area.

  • One of the most impressive palaces I have ever seen. Quite big and open to go till the top of palace.

  • Maybe it's not so good looking as it's neiberhood -Jahangir Mahal. But you shouldn't omit this place.
