Raj Ghat, New Delhi
Categories: Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
See a moving memorial to the father of the nation at Raj Ghat. Situated at the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, the memorial consists of a stone footpath that leads visitors through well-maintained lawns to a walled enclosure. In the enclosure sits a black marble platform, exposed to the elements and with an eternal flame burning at one end. Take off your footwear before entering the enclosure to pay your respects to the leader of the Indian independence movement. With our online itinerary creator, New Delhi attractions like Raj Ghat can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

Beautiful spot but I expected more at this special site for this great man. Perhaps some photos or statues or plaques.
This was my second visit to this place. The Black Marble structure is serene and the surroundings peaceful. Gandhi would have loved it. Bought his biography from the souvenir shop.
No es de lo más bonito de la ciudad, pero merece la pena ir al lugar donde está enterrado un gran ser humano como fue GandhiIt is not the most beautiful city, but it is worth going to the place where he is buried a great human being as it was Gandhishow original
Neatly maintained mausoleum of the Father of the Nation- Mahatma Gandhi! Very serene and divine. Full respect! Many other celebrity politician tombs are nearby. It's a reminder, however great one becomes, ultimately we have to exit from this World- so live happy, quality life, keep traveling, make others happy, have no tension, don't horde money. Enjoy life, be healthy.
Rajghat is the samadhi sthala of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation. His immortal remains are resting here. This place gives a feeling of peace and harmony to your soul. It has also got gardens around it, although for security reasons, not many times you can get access to these gardens.
