  • National Philatelic Museum is a real gem for museum lovers. It has a great collection from 1947 to 2014 year wise as well as tiny corner for International stamps. It takes at least 2 hrs to see. After 2014,nothing is displayed over there. That made me sad :( It is very well maintained museum. No entry fees and just few steps from Patel Chowk metro station. They have a shop inside if you wanna buy table top or stamp book for reasonable prize. They have some fridge magnets, but that does not look like a stamp.
  • Very good museum by Indian post containing complete postage history... No entry fee.. it gives you a chance to visit the complete life of postal stamps across timeline with the variety and category of postal stamps on different events.... There is a shop also which allows you to have your own personalized valid postage stamp sheet got printed for 300 Inr... Worth visiting once....
  • The National Philatelic Museum at Dak Bhawan, New Delhi, India, is operated by the Department of Post. The facility. which is housed on the ground floor of a building, underwent a redevelopment in 2011. It now hosts an amphitheater for presentations and discussions, a library and an area where artists can be seen at work, as well as displays of postage stamps and related items. The Museum has displayed number of frames in which exhibits of Post Independence era stamps can impress any Visitor with its charm. The frames have been arranged beautifully in different sections like section for Sheetlets, section for different themes, Section for Stamps from different countries. The Museum organise Philatelic workshops on regular basis with the students of different schools. Children discover many stories that stamps can tell and appreciate how these colorful and attractive stamps are educational yet fun for them. The Museum also has a Souvenir Shop which offers variety of Philatelic products like Stamps, Year Packs, Stamp Albums,Picture postcards, Pictorial cancellation of National Philatelic Museum, and Gift items etc. The museum was designed by Dr. Anand Burdhan of the Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management, who is also secretary of the Museum Association of India.[1] It is situated on Sansad Marg (Parliament Street) near Connaught Place, New Delhi, and is opened from 10:00AM to 05:00PM all days in a week for the visitors without any fee. The Museum also figures on the list of HOHO Bus as one of the prominent stops.[2]
  • Was an amazing experience going through the things at display. A must visit place for children. The only problem is that it is not located in a noticeable place so people walking around central delhi may not easily notice it. Definitely a learning experience for generations to come if the government doesn't pull down the shutters.
  • It was wonderful experience. They also print my stamp in 15 min for 300 rupees only with your image. They HV souvenirs postcards keychain stamp holder etc. Its just in front of Patel chowk metro. Easy to get there.
