New Delhi contains some of India's finest and most popular hotels, catering to business travelers and well-heeled tourists. For budget accommodations, consider the neighborhood of Paharganj, just west of the New Delhi railway station. • Must visit to revisit India's past. Very beautiful collection. The antiquities that changed India's history. Entry charge is minimal 20rs for Indian crowd. Mobile photography is for free . However use of flash is prohibited. Cloak room is also available. On the first floor there is a jewelry shop. Lovely pieces.
  • Great place to hang out if you like history. The ticket pricing for indian nationals is just 20 rupees. School students can show their school identity card and get free entry. Cameras that are hand held are allowed inside. Check out the zone where they let you touch stuff (replicas but just as good). Air conditioned place, thank goodness during Delhi's heat. It was a good experience for me, hope it's great for you.
  • Good place to visit with friends and family. You need to walk a lot inside the museum. I liked the bronze gallery. Whether you visit other galleries or not, make sure that you visit bronze gallery. Totally there are three levels. Free Clock room is also available. Entrance ticket is only 20 rs for Indian citizens.a very well maintained place.
  • Felt proud to visit such a organized, well maintained museum, and visiting charges were about just 20rs. There are free guides available who are doing free service just out of their passion. I especially enjoyed Indus valley collections from 4000bc. Note that one of saint Buddha relics are exhibit here which is more like a shrine now, inside museum
  • Had a wonderful free 90 minute tour - available most days - that everyone from grandparents to grandchildren enjoyed. Ours was with Pooja (Sundays) and she was knowledgeable and engaging with lots of enthusiasm and energy. Visited the special River of Life Ganges exhibition which was a visual treat. Also discovered that there are kids activity books in the lower museum Store and jewellery in the upper one. Finally had a quick snack in the Museum Kafe which is outside and around the building. Sit in the second room it's cooler.
