  • Amazing artifacts - some many thousands of years old. You can get very near the items. Covers many cultures.
  • Not a perfect museum by any means, but a good intro to Indian art. There were some surprises, and that is always good!

  • such a great experience this is the greatest museum in this city . located at great location . good environment and easily reachable. you can see here ancient indian sculptures. highly recommend
  • This is the best museum in the city, revamped and always evolving and hosting new events and special exhibits every month. Over the past few years I have been visiting the National Museum almost 4 times a year thanks to all those amazing artifacts they keep bringing out. Tickets have been increased marginally but they have removed the charges for still camera (video is prohibited) so its all good. You can visit their website and sign up to get a free guided tour by one of their trained volunteers, or you can do what I do, 3 visits to complete the entire museum because each floor needs an entire day to see properly :)
  • Come and explore the past of the India. This well maintained museum features many rare collection of Indus Valley Civilization. It has also depicted the ancient war paintings and architecture and metallurgical skills of Indians.
  • Beautifully maintained and well lit. The most mesmerizing section is the early civilisation one. To see all those Harrapan era artefacts is sure to give you goosebumps. However, give a full 4-5 hrs to explore the museum properly. Otherwise you'll miss out on some important artefacts. Walkthroughs are also provided. Don't forget to take one
  • Fantastic collection, actually a treasure trove. A walk is designed in chronological order almost reconstructing a walk through time! Harappan artifact of the dancing girl, priest and Tipu sultan's sword are personal favorites here. You can take the audio tour at a nominal cost to make the experience richer !
