  • A great centre to know about our history and past.. With beautiful demonstration from different stages Must visit place.. If you are interested in knowing about historical things.. Excellent museum. Good collection of sculptures, decorative arts and paintings. Coins gallery is also worth a visit.
  • National Museum in Delhi has many things to offer you if you are interested in history, sculptures, ancient Indian civilization. It showcases many departments like history, science, modern arts, science and latest innovations. You can spend almost half day here. There is small shop inside from there you can purchase replica of some of the antic piece. It will help you understand India from ancient times to modern times. How we India had done innovations in very old times with limited tools and technologies. Amazing place to visit for students.
  • Brilliant! Is a absolute delight for any History Enthusiast and especially Foreign Tourists who want to catch a glimpse of Indian History. I visited this only in my 6th Trip to New Delhi. I visited on a Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised and fortunate enough to find a volunteer guide(A Senior Banker-Forgot to ask his name while leaving in a hurry) who took us through a free guided tour of the museum. There is a facility for Audio Tours(Paid) as well(which will be worth for Foreign Tourists). Will take around 3-4 Hours to cover properly. The In-House Cafetaria(Kafe@Museum) is very poor for a Institution like this and especially for Foreign Tourists(Archaeological Survey of India- Please improve). Special Note for Buddhist Visitors:- This museum has one of the original relics of Gautama Buddha, which had been returned back to India by the Thailand King and many from South East Asian Countries visit it especially for this.
  • Magnificent ! This is what I will say about this museum. It was like you were traveling through the time since human just started his journey. Sometimes you feel amazed that even during that time human had made so many things. He knew all this. Timing is 10 am to 6 pm Monday closed.
  • Very nice and calm place. Students were making sketches. Interesting manuscripts , coins and jewellery of Indian history. Ticket price around 20rs. Per adult. And school children can go free of cost by showing school id card.
