Mughal Garden, New Delhi
(4.6/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web)
Displaying Persian-style architecture, Mughal Garden was built by the Mughals and displays water features and open, rectangular spaces. Running water plays an important part in the park's design, shown in pools, fountains, and canals. A variety of trees and flowers bloom along stone walkways, but guards do not usually let people sit and loiter. The park is not always open to the public, so check the schedule before your visit. Also, try arriving early to avoid long lines at the entrance. Put Mughal Garden into our New Delhi trip builder and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • It is a good place for coming with family. A large number of flowers are present even those which you hav'nt seen yet. But it opens only for one month i.e from Feb 15 till March.
  • Great Place for garden lovers. specially the bonsai section and the circular garden is very good. no fee to see the mughal garden. One should go early in the mornings and preferably on a non weekend. It starts at 10 am and is on till 5 pm barring mondays. This opens only for 15 days in the a year. in Feb from 15 onword.
  • What an amazing place !!!!!!!!! I saw this place in feb2k15 with some friends. we enjoyed very much here whole day. The Mughal Gardens are situated at the back of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, incorporate both Mughal and English landscaping styles and feature a great variety of flowers. The Rashtrapati Bhavan gardens are open to the public in February every year. Main garden: Two channels running North to South and two running East to West divide this garden into a grid of squares. There are six lotus shaped fountains at the crossings of these channels. Whereas the energetic fountains rising up to a height of 12 feet (3.7 m) create a soothing murmur that enthralls the visitor, the channels are so tranquil in their movement that they seem frozen. In the channels at appropriate times of day can be seen reflections of the imposing building and the proud flowers. There are wooden trays placed on stands in the centre of the channels where grain is put for the birds to feed upon.
  • This place is splendid and amazing. This is the only place of it's kind. The problem is, it only open for few week in the month of february or march for tourists. The garden is having so many kind of flowers along with many foreign flowers which can only be found here. The garden is so beautiful.
  • A treat for any flora lover. A must watch, for once! Needs a lot of patience to walk. Takes a good day to cover all. The path inside has been well planned to make sure one covers most of the area.
