(4.1/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
Observe the statue of a Hindu deity in the middle of the urban surroundings at Hanuman Temple / Statue. One of the iconic structures of Delhi, the statue represents a monkey deity, which is the commander of the army of monkeys in Hindu mythology. Born of a nymph and the wind god, Hanuman possesses the ability to fly and grow boundlessly large. Legend says he tried to grab the sun, mistaking it for a fruit. The priests offer various blessing activities, and the tourists are always invited to participate in the holy festivals. • You have known as he had not been. Yes, it is a big statue, but in the context where not seen calmly. To watch it from afar, you must cross streets that are crazy, because there is just a roundabout. In addition, enter, you have to climb stairs, and to us we were accompanied by someone of the temple, who made us a sort of ritual, where strapped us the typical red bracelet of the Hindus, to finally ask for a 'donation' for God, for 500 rupees. We were able to leave by paying the "donation" of 200 rupees... Although the experience was something unique, it is never to return...

  • This place is an identity of Delhi after India Gate. Be it a movie or a serial based on delhi, one could easily find this scene. So, not only it's used as a symbol but also the place is awesome. Located just beside metro, one could easily reach out to this place.
  • Well worth seeing if for the novelty of such a huge Hanuman alone! A unique temple and entering through a demons mouth as it is being stood upon be Hanuman is quite amusing.
