  • A must place to visit, Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, is one of the nine historical gurdwaras in Delhi. First constructed in 1783 by Baghel Singh to commemorate the martyrdom site the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur. Situated in Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi, it marks the site where the ninth Sikh Guru was beheaded on 11 November 1675.
  • This Gurdwara is one of the most important historical Gurdwaras having a history of martyrdom. It is located at Chandni Chowk area in Old Delhi. At this historic site the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Teg Bahadur was beheaded in the year 1675 on the orders from Mughal emperor Aurangzeb for refusing to convert to Islam. According to the historical story when Guru Tegh Bahadur died there was no one to even pick up the corpse. The rains came down suddenly. Two of his disciples took his body and head and performed the final rituals. The present Gurudwara structure was built in year 1930.The main structure is a huge and very spacious open hall.
  • Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib is built at the site in the Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi, where the revered ninth Sikh Guru , Guru Tegh Bahadur was beheaded, on Wednesday , November 24, 1675 , on the orders of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb for refusing to convert to Islam. Before his body could be quartered, further disrespected and exposed to public view, it was recovered under the cover of darkness caused by a severe dust storm by one of the Guru's disciples, Lakhi Shah Vanjara , who then set his home alight to cremate the Guru's body. Similarly, the 'Sis' (head) of Guru Tegh Bahadur was recovered and taken to Anandpur Sahib by Bhai Jaita, another devotee of the Guru where it was cremated by the Guru's young son, Guru Gobind Rai .
  • Very disappointed visit .. All employees their full of attitude special sardar saab who is in charge for room reservation. We came here on 5th of Dec 2017 and ask them for room even they had vacant rooms still the manager their said " Sade kol Rooms Nhi Ne " in very rude way like he gave us charity me nd my husband really hurtted by all their ridiculous behaviour. Even we show our I'd proof to them they look at us like we are not married couple . It's really shamefull for our Sikhs religion why they have negative thinking about young married couples even we have all the proofs . Gurdwara sahibs environment is good bd very peaceful . But these people really impact a bad effect of their positions they misuse their duties.
