Its not a very big ground but is very very well maintained. Went there for an IPL match and the crowd was fantastic. Parking is very far off and you will have to walk a lot to reach the ground. Once t... read more »
Not the prettiest of stadiums, it still is Delhi's primary international cricketing venue. Looks lovely under the floodlights.
Went to ferozshah kotla to watch IPL match. The environment was electric and it seemed awesome to watch a live match. Had great fun with my family and loved the experience
The Feroz Shah Kotla is a cricket ground located at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Delhi. It was established in 1883 and is the second oldest international cricket stadium still functional in India, after the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. As of 2016, the India national cricket team has been undefeated for over 28 years in Test matches and for over 10 years in ODI matches at this ground. The ground is known for Anil Kumble's 10 wickets in an innings against Pakistan, Sachin Tendulkar's 35th test ton to overcome Sunil Gavaskar to become the batsman with the most international Test centuries and formerly Gavaskar's 29th test ton to equal Don Bradman's tally of 29 centuries.
My first visit was indvpak '99 test match. At that time stadium was a dubious place for spectators. Fast forward 2016,it has become the best stadiums in India. The lush green playing surface along with cool wind caressing your face under floodlights in summer is a treat to watch.
It's well organised and clean now, and most seats have a great view. Security is also up to mark though the food isn't that great.

Excellent stadium for delhites!! IPL creates fun and pleasure
A good stadium. But parking is a very big problem here. Parking only for VIP's. Others will have to either use their own 'contacts ' or they won't find parking.
