  • The fort is quite difficult to notice. One should probably ask the locals for directions as the exact way to reach is not given on Google Maps. A poster like pointer can be seen at the point from where you have to ascend the hill in order to reach the fortress. There is a guiding path lined with stones on both the sides which you have to follow all the way up the hill. It's fairly a good place to hangout. Do explore the area around the fort. The forested area around the fort makes one forget that they are smack in the middle of a city.
  • A great place to see the old beautiful remains of a fort. Located on a small hill right next to the CIDCO guest house, the fort offers a great experience of old times. You are welcomed with a watch tower right opposite the municipal corporation building which further takes you to a beautiful winding road up the hill. The entry is a little difficult to spot but there is an orange flag on a tree to the left that leads you to the fort. The fort can only be seen after a short hike through dense woods but that is where it's USP lies. I've heard that it is being revamped and made into a usable space but before the commercialisation takes place id recommend a visit to the fort and see it for its ruins and how traditional fort Architecture was on the sea shore.
  • Once glorious past of Maratha History, the deteriorating and pathetic condition of the monument to be taken seriously and restoration to be done to restore the fading history due to crumbling watch towers, encroachments and construction around the foothill of the structure. It is misused by anti social elements.and bushes are not safe and have snakes. It has to be maintained properly with proper signage to reach
  • Calm and peaceful place. You can spend your good time here.
  • Nice place to get the glimpse of Historic place.....the fort is small but and got ruined over years...!!! Visitors don't get misguided while visiting it... it's just next to CIDCO guest house...beware of stray dogs.
