  • Belapur Fort is Historic Place. Fort is Neglected by Government they must maintain this place for next generation after all this place is Historical Marvel of Many more Historic Legends. Government should look after securing this place with Guards and this place need some renovations to make this point Tourists Spot. Afterall this Place is Amazing to hangout with Friends and Family. People should respect and take care of this place not only because this is our History but for our next Generation they must learn from this place who people lived their in past for what purpose etc etc. MORE HISTORIC INFORMATION SHOULD DISPLAYED THERE
  • There is no fort present just some remains are there and u will probably not able to find the route even after reaching there, so go from guest house side road and in the middle u will find a way between the jungle and the mountain to the actual route for fort. U will probably be disappointed by the fort, but will love the roads with huge tall trees lush green.
  • The fort is quite difficult to notice. One should probably ask the locals for directions as the exact way to reach is not given on Google Maps. A poster like pointer can be seen at the point from where you have to ascend the hill in order to reach the fortress. There is a guiding path lined with stones on both the sides which you have to follow all the way up the hill. It's fairly a good place to hangout. Do explore the area around the fort. The forested area around the fort makes one forget that they are smack in the middle of a city.
  • Forts are always great places. Prefer to go with company and not alone. Leaving the place before Six in evening is advisable
  • A great place to see the old beautiful remains of a fort. Located on a small hill right next to the CIDCO guest house, the fort offers a great experience of old times. You are welcomed with a watch tower right opposite the municipal corporation building which further takes you to a beautiful winding road up the hill. The entry is a little difficult to spot but there is an orange flag on a tree to the left that leads you to the fort. The fort can only be seen after a short hike through dense woods but that is where it's USP lies. I've heard that it is being revamped and made into a usable space but before the commercialisation takes place id recommend a visit to the fort and see it for its ruins and how traditional fort Architecture was on the sea shore.
