  • It is one of the oldest church in Delhi. Located near Kashmere gate metro station it is accessible from everywhere in Delhi. Very calming and silent place. Only a guard is there on the main gate and inside no one was there. The interiors of the church is beautiful and architecture is Colonial style. Also, there is a graveyard which houses tombs of several colonels. You can sit, pray and meditate in the garden. Only sad part is that the church is not in very good condition. Its restoration work is going on but the management doesn't have enough funds. It is a part of our rich history so hope it gets back to its original glory!
  • About place:-St. James' is an Anglican church in Delhi, India, built in 1836 by Colonel James Skinner. It is one of the oldest churches in the city, and part of the Church of North India Diocese of Delhi. It is situated near Kashmiri Gate, at the intersection of Church Road and Lothian road. Grave:-church houses several tombs. One houses the remains of the British Commissioners of Delhi, William Fraser, near the large Memorial Cross erected in memory of the victims of 1857 revolt
  • Good. Very well maintained. The interior and exterior surface is very impressive. Extra note: Please take initiative to clean up church surrounding as well. People still through waste where ever they want. In front of the church no one follows the traffic rules and regulations. People take initiative.
  • Beautiful and very good preservation of facts there. Especially the graves preserved and look from outside also maintained in same style.
  • The oldest CNI church, completed 215years. It's built by Skinner with his own funds.
