Take a hike to Hatu Peak, the highest summit in the region at a lofty 3,400 m (12,000 ft) above sea level. Observe the temple here, and admire the extraordinary views of distant mountain ranges. Around a 7 km (4.3 mi) trek from the nearest town, the hike is substantial; alternatively, take a taxi ride to a point close to the top. Bring plenty of water and snacks along with you, and keep your eyes peeled for the resident monkeys. To visit Hatu Peak and other attractions in Narkanda, use our Narkanda vacation builder.
