Where to stay in Nainital

Nainital boasts a good number of accommodations, with the popular hill station combining the old and the new, the upmarket and the simple across its slopes. Many of the more refined options occupy commanding positions by the lake, or use height to their advantage, gaining extensive, postcard-worthy views up the hill to the northwest. Mall Road remains the place to look for the majority of accommodations in town, with a fair set of hotels, homestays, and guesthouses.

  • You should go there without any expectations. 2.5 minute cable car ride was also not much exciting. Could not see anything due to clouds. Locals told that you can view only during October. Other month...  more »
  • You can take either ropeway or your own vehicle to reach snow view point. I would recommend to take ropeway to see amazing view of Naini lake. If its not the cloudy day then you can see the ice capped...  more »
  • This point is supposedly expected to provide you a snow view spectacle. We could not see anything as the clouds have covered the zone. We went by the ropecar just a 5 minute ride standing (no fun) it ...  more »

  • Not much impressed. It is like any other point in hills which give you a better view of snow capped peaks. We couldn't see anything because there were clouds towards high Himalayas. Some other attractions are a few games for children, go karting, download (weightless fall), etc and restaurant.
  • The ropeway ride to the top is amazing- one can get beautiful views of the Naini lake. However, the whole point of the place- to view snow clad peaks- can only be done during specific times. I tried to see those peaks but all I could see was fog and clouds. There are many activities that can be done here, albeit a bit costly than the normal rates.
  • Awesome place to view the Himalayas. A mini park located including bumping cars and rides for children's At this point view of nearby towns and cities can be seen...good connectivity by roads and Ropeway... Crowded during summers...other facilities like hotels, restaurant available Hope you enjoy✌
  • If you really wants to have good view better to visit in October as per local people in may or June month due to fog visibility is low
  • Nothing to rave about. Form here one can see far off Himalayan Peaks with Binoculars. Binoculars are available at top for hire. But from mid April, non of these Peaks will be visible due to natural phenomenon of Haze. At the top few adventure activities are available from private vendors on payment basis. Few eating joints are also their.
