High Altitude Zoo, Nainital

(3.3/5 based on 550 reviews on the web)
Situated 2,100 m (6,900 ft) above sea level, High Altitude Zoo hosts several endangered Himalayan species. Thanks to the high-altitude location, these animals have a chance to thrive while also providing the opportunity for research and rehabilitation. Observe animals like the Royal Bengal tiger, Tibetan wolf, leopard cat, and Himalayan bear at this attraction, and remember to look up, to spot the variety of high-altitude birds, such as the Lady Amherst pheasant and rose ringed parakeet. Although you can access the zoo by road, expect to do a little uphill trekking when visiting. Consider adopting one of the animals to help cover their rehabilitation costs. Put High Altitude Zoo on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Nainital tourist route planner.
