Goddess Naina Devi, Nainital

Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web
A major place of worship for Hindus, Goddess Naina Devi is devoted to Maa Naina Devi, the "Mother Goddess." The temple was built in the 15th century, though much of its current structure dates back to the 1880s--major efforts restored the building to its former glory after a devastating landslide. The surrounding area offers a tranquil atmosphere and remains an ideal spot to relax beside Naini Lake. • Nice small colorful temple located at one corner of Naini lake. It's a peaceful place offering good views of the lake.
  • Nice temple. Situated in mallital just next to lake. Home to naina devi and other dieties. Must visit whenever you go to nainital. You can also see lots of fish in lake. I rate it 4/5.
