  • A Beautiful Jain Temple. Found Clam and Peace here( I am a Jain ) Very religious and a place full with Positive Energy. Also there is a Dharmshalla here. And good lunch and Dinner options available outside the temple. Home made simple food is available. It's good. Should Visit. It's beautiful. Architecturally Beautiful and Marvellous.
  • People of this World are mostly bogged down badly in materialism with violence. I warn the people if they make distance from Nature so wide , it is certainly sure that they have decided to give extreme punishment to generation's to come. Any saint (Muni) of Digamber Discipline consumes less to less from Nature. As a result of meditation He becomes Sidh Acharya and establish the communication with Nature which responses . One day, during the course of his teachings to "Shravaks " (The Primary Stage of a disciple) Acharya Vidyasagar maharaj stated the feeling of hot atmospheric condition and wished " Had there been few showers ? " And it happened just after 3 hrs , A good spells of showers He alone can give Peace to thousands. Lest People should maintain the discipline of JAINISM. Destroying the Nature in the name of the development and spoiling the sanctity of such place is endangering the future. RAMTEK is surrounded by Nature from three sides. One can get real everlasting peace at such a place under guidance of Any JAIN MUNI. Profound rgds & best wishes to GOOGLE'S Team.

  • Ramtek is also known for ancient Jain temple with various ancient statues of Jain Tirthankara. The main idol of Shantinatha, the sixteenth Tirthankar has a legend associated with it. King Raghuji Bhosale, along with his munim(accountant) came to Ramtek for construction of Ram Mandir. One day, the munim came late after arrival of king bhosale. King asked the reason he said "oh king i am jain, i am bounded by the rule that i can't eat food without worshipping jain idol, so i went 30 km away (present day kamptee jain mandir) for worship. This answer satisfied the king, king had ordered his troops to go and search jain temple nearby ramtek. Troops had come back in evening and answered the king, "oh king there is no jain temple in ramtek but some people worship an idol down the hills which may be a jain idol. Munim of king went to see that idol it was placed under the tree and that was jain idol of main deity Shantinath bhagwan. King has ordered to make a big jain temple at that site. Today the main idol of the temple is exactly at that site where it was found. It became more popular when one of the leading Digambar Jain Acharyas, Acharya Vidyasagar visited and stayed with his sangh in Ramtek in 1993, 94, 2008, 2013 and 2017 for the four months of chaturmas during the rainy season. With his inspiration, a big Jaintemple has been constructed. Jain disciples report many miracles attributed to the ancient Jain statue and so the place is more popularly called as Atishayakshetra Ramtek ji by them. Atishay = During chaturmas of Vidyasagar Maharaj once the injured deer came struggling inside the temple which was bleeding heavily. The deer was about to die. Vidyasagar came outside the room and chanted the holy Namokar Mantra for deer. After few hours deer was cured and was able to run. The place was ruled by Gond rulers before being captured by the Bhonsle rulers of Nagpur in the eighteenth century.

While little known to international tourists, Nagpur nevertheless has a number of accommodations to cater to different tastes and budgets. Running north from the airport to the city center, Highway 264 has a good selection of hotels, including both upmarket and budget-friendly options.
