  • A source of drinking water for Nagpur city, this lake is famous for its beauty and splendour. Birds are found in good number and the overall biodiversity of the lake (flora and fauna) is very good. A place worth visiting for nature lovers and bird watchers.
  • A nice place to get out to during the winter months. They have a proper safari trail built out here and you have a choice of either going in your own vehicle or renting the standard safari jeeps available. Default you will end up spotting deer, nilgai, monkeys and peacocks. However on the rare occasion you do end up spotting the leopard as well.
  • This is a paradise for bird lovers. Winter migratory birds come here in good numbers to spend their winter months. This lake also is the home of many resident avifauna. Herbivores and carnivores of Gorewada forest frequent this lake to quench their thirst.
  • All reserved lake having good views. lake Close at 5pm so you have to Visit before that time. And must remember that "Please keep It clean". It's our Responsibility. Be Responsible. Be nature Lover.
  • Nagpurs little heaven... This place is a perfect place to catch a few moments of peace. Come here to meditate, to revel in the natural beauty or to polish your hand in photography

Where to stay in Nagpur

While little known to international tourists, Nagpur nevertheless has a number of accommodations to cater to different tastes and budgets. Running north from the airport to the city center, Highway 264 has a good selection of hotels, including both upmarket and budget-friendly options. In the town center, family-run guesthouses lie on the side streets, and larger hotels dot the newer commercial districts.
