Very well maintained and a neat place in true tribute to the great Dr.Ambedkar and his legacy. The tour of the Deeskshabhoomi is well laid out. Directions all across the place makes it easy to navigate around the place. A small museum with pictures and text narrates the life and times of Babasaheb in good detail. The place is silent and serene and and ideal place for meditation. A must visit if you are in Nagpur.

Important place in the history of social reforms in India... World's biggest ever religious conversation happened on 14th October 1956, when more than 5 million untouchables under the leadership of the Father of Modern India, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, embraced Buddhism... The huge and beautiful structure is inspired from the Sanchi Stup in Madhya Pradesh... On the right of the monument is the Piple tree (descendant of Original Bodhi Tree under which the Buddha became the Enlightened one)... Every year 10 million people visit the monument during Ashok Vijayadashmi to celebrate the historic event... The crowning glory of Nagpur city... Must visit to see the historically important monument in the city...
