2.9/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web
Travel back in time and explore the interesting development of the Indian railway system at Railway Museum Mysore. Surrounded by trees providing plenty of shade, you can admire the colorful retro trains in comfort. Established in 1979, the museum is the second of its kind in India, displaying the first steam engine in India, as well as the grand royal coaches of the Maharaja of Mysore. Visit the Chamudi gallery, which showcases an interesting collection of black and white photography and paintings depicting the railway system's development. Treat the kids (and the adults) to a ride on the mini toy train, which takes you around the museum. • Lovely old steam engines all around with levers and handles where the kids could climb on , move things around and generally have fun
