#6 of 12 in Museums in Mysuru (Mysore)
See over 100 life-size wax musicians in their original attire at Melody World Wax Museum, a specialty museum dedicated to musicians worldwide. Dressed in genuine clothing, the figures depict musicians specializing in Indian classical music styles from around the country, as well as international jazz, rock, and hip hop artists, displayed across 19 pavilions. The museum also boasts the largest collection of musical instruments in Karnataka, with over 300 items ranging from antiquated pieces to modern electronic instruments. Don't miss the giant scupture of Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV, ruler of Mysore. Don't be afraid to put your musical skills to the test; you can play several instruments in the interactive part of the museum. Very good place to visit. Really artistic sculptures... Not just celebrity statues!

Only for those who are interested in different forms of music. Many musical instruments from different regions are at display. The look however is very ordinary and not well maintaned. You can see the walls cracked or covered with cobwebs. Nice concept got lost in bad maintenance.

Place for tourist interest. Very boring... tiket of Rs 40/- per head. U will find here wax statues old and musical instruments. Waste of 40/-.

Wax figures are not of famous people.... Theme of this museum is musical instruments... So if you like to see antique musical instruments, you might want to visit this place...

It's a totally different museum with lot of musical themes displayed on wax. However it's not maintained great. If u have time after palace, zoo, brindavan and bird sanctuary, it worth a try. Also ur visit will help them to maintain it better. 2 Day Recommendation in Mysore: 1st Day: Mysore Palace (Morning) Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary Brindavan (Evening - night) 2nd Day: Mysroe Zoo (Full morning) Melody World Wax museum (Afternoon) Chamundy Hills (Afternoon / Evening) If travelling Bangalore-mysore: Dodda alada mara - Big banyan tree Tipu's summer palace
